Making balanced random groups

The team generator shuffles the submitted list and distributes players across the selected number of teams. Team sizes stay as even as possible, though some teams may contain one extra player when the total cannot be divided equally.

Before generating

• Enter every player once.
• Remove blank lines and accidental duplicates.
• Choose no more teams than players.
• Regenerate only if the group agrees, not because somebody dislikes the first result.

Random teams are useful for casual games. Where skill balance or accessibility matters, a host may need to adjust the final groups thoughtfully.
